Work Days & Seed Swap — Ashgrove
Monthly work days
The first Saturday of every month, we gather to keep Ashgrove running. Members and volunteers work together maintaining shared paths, clearing communal spaces, and looking after the tool library so everyone has what they need. No experience required — just turn up with gloves and a willingness to get soil under your fingernails. It's where the real community happens.
Spring seed swap
Every April, we hold our annual seed swap — a chance to share what you've saved, trade seedlings you've raised, and fill your pockets with someone else's prize varieties. Plot-holders bring their surplus, neighbours swap stories about what grew well last year, and newcomers always leave with more seeds than they arrived with. It's open to everyone in Ashgrove, member or not.
Committee meetings
Four times a year, the committee sits down to talk through site matters — everything from water supply and plot waiting lists to tool repairs and plans for next year. Plot-holders are always welcome to raise items through your plot representative, or drop us a line on the Contact page if there's something on your mind. We're all volunteers, and we run on what the community tells us matters.
